Northeast Taiwan

I am hoping to visit many of the surrounding places in Northeast Taiwan. Can someone give me an idea of how I would get from Nanya to Jioufen (also Jinguashi and Bitou Cape) by public transport? What makes the most sense? I am hoping to find a B%26amp;B or hotel in Jioufen to stay overnight...any rec%26#39;s would also be appreciate. Only a few more weeks before I%26#39;m in Taiwan!!

Northeast Taiwan

Your day’s itinerary to NE coast of Taiwan may be in this sequence:

From Taipei (台北) %26gt; Keelung (基隆) %26gt; Nanya (南 雅) %26gt; Bitou Cape(鼻頭角) %26gt; Shui-nan-tong (水湳洞)-- Yin Yang Hai (陰陽海) %26gt; Golden Waterfalls (黄金瀑布) %26gt; Jinguahsih (金瓜石) %26gt; Jiufen (九份) %26gt; Keelung Miaokou (基隆庙口) %26gt; Taipei

At Keelung bus station (next to Keelung Railway Station), board the Keelung bus displaying its destination “國家新城-福隆” and headed to Fulong (福隆) via the coastal road (Provincial Highway No 2).

The names of the designated bus stops are indicated on the route map.

Before visiting Nanya (89km mark on the coastal highway), you may want to include a visit to Bisha Fishing Port / Tourist Market along the bus route. Bitou Cape is 2 stops away from Nanya.

After your Bitou Cape visit, board the same Keelung bus but from opposite bus stop. Alight at “Shui-nan-tong” stop (approx 6 km from Bitou Cape). See Yin Yang Hai (陰陽海) -- Twin Color Sea and the nearby remains of the thirteen levels (a 13-storey old mining factory) and the abandoned smoke vents lying on the hills. Walk to the bus terminal in Shui-nan-tong (near the open car park). Board another Keelung bus to Jinguashih, approx 3 km inland from the coastal road. The bus passes Golden Waterfalls (黄金瀑布) and winding county road (S-spot) before reaching Jinguashih. Jiufen is approx 2.5 km away from Jinguashih.
