Help with planning for Taipei trip

Hi forumers,

Below is a proposed itinerary for our trip in early February. Please comment whether it is too leisurely or too rush. Also, feel free to rearrange the sequence of the itinerary, esp. if there is any backtracking. Any improvement to our plan is most welcome.

Day 1 - arrive at night: XMD night market

Day 2 - Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, Taipei City Hall, Taipei World Trade Center, NYNY, Shinkong Mitsukoshi, etc., and Taipei 101

Day 3 - Martyr%26#39;s Shrine and full day tour of Northeast

Day 4 - Hell%26#39;s Valley, Aboriginal Museum (sightseeing only, we are not soaking in hotspring); Taipei Miniature Museum

Day 5 - CKS Memorial, National Concert Hall, National Palace Museum, Shilin night market (mostly for the food and experience, not into shopping).

Day 6 - Yang Ming Shan, Danshui,

Fishermen%26#39;s Wharf

We would like to visit Lin An Tai Family

garden but am not sure which day we could fit this in.

Thank you in advance.

Day 3 - Full day tour of Northeast Taiwan. Martyr’s Shrine is near Lin An Tai Family Garden. Would suggest you re-schedule Martyr’s Shrine to day 4 as it is too leisure.

Day 4 – Lin An Tai Family Garden, Martyr%26#39;s Shrine, Hell%26#39;s Valley, Miniature Museum of Taiwan

Aboriginal Museum? Are you referring to Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines? If you are, it should be visited on the same day you visit National Palace Museum as it is nearby. Lin An Tai Family Garden, Hell’s Valley, Miniature Museum of Taiwan and Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines are closed on Mondays. Martyr’s Shrine and National Palace Museum are open daily.

Miniature Museum of Taiwan. Opening hrs: 1000 to 1800 hrs (Tue~Sun). Last admittance at 1700 hrs.

Day 5 - CKS Memorial, National Concert Hall, National Palace Museum, Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines, Shilin night market

Many thanks, Taiwan DIY. The Aborigine Museum we wish to visit is the one in Xinbeitou, I think it is on the way to Hells Valley.

The “aborigine museum” in Xinbeitou is known as Kaidagelan Culture Centre at Zhongshan Rd along the way from Xinbeitou MRT Station to Hell’s Valley. It is located diagonally opposite Beitou hot spring museum. It showcases the conservation of aborigine culture.
