Danshui and Bali

i read a older post from other forum, someone mentioned this...

';Went to Bali 八里 and Danshui. Took mrt to Guandu to change to bus Red 13. Can buy a package there that provides entrance pass to this museum and 4 bus rides + 2 boat rides at NT99. Really cheap as the tix to the 十三行 museum cost NT100 if you were to purchase it yourself.

Museum was rather interesting. Took Red 13 to the pier to take the ferry ride over to Danshui. Danshui was rather fun, with all the shooting of balloons, scooping of fish games etc. Recommended to go on a weekend as more stalls are open. ';

Wonder if this package is still availble? another thing i would like to check is if there is any ferry from bali to fisherman whraf? or i need to go back to danshui to chg to another ferry? thanks

No idea whether the entrance ticket + bus + ferry ride package is still available.

You can also board Red 22 from Guandu MRT Station to Shihsanhang Museum of Archeology (十三行博物館) in Pali.

You need not go back to Danshui to change ferry to Fishermen Wharf. Take a direct Pali -- Fishermen’s Wharf ferry.

There are two ferry service companies (順風航業、臺北航運) serving the following routes:

Danshui (淡水客船碼頭) -- Pali (八里客船碼頭);

Danshui -- Fishermen’s Wharf (淡水漁人碼頭); and

Pali -- Fishermen’s Wharf

Ferry frequency is regular.

thanks for ur detailed info...hehe... any idea wat is the travelling time like from danshui to bali, bali to fisherman whraf?

Another thing is is the boat big? Will i have to queue very long on a sat afternoon? thanks

A ferry ride from Danshui Old Street across Danshui River to the opposite river bank Pali takes about 6 mins. From Pali to Fishermen’s Wharf takes about 12 mins. You can see pictures of the ferry in the Blueway ferry website posted earlier. Usually no long queue as ferry frequency is regular.

What are the attractions at Pali? I reckon it%26#39;s seafood?

Formosa Fun Coast (八仙水上樂園), a water park is in Pali. It is open in the months of around May to September only. Shihsanhang Museum of Archeology (十三行博物館) and Shihsanhang Archeological site and Guanyin Shan are located in Pali. Left Bank Park is a good place to cycle along the river bank and to have a seafood meal. Try the popular peacock clams or green mussels. Try also the local snacks from the nearby “Twin sisters” stall.
