Food recs in Yeliu/Jiufen?
Aside from some snack stands and seafood restaurants, Yehliu isn%26#39;t a food destination, so I wouldn%26#39;t advise going there hungry.
Jiufen is known for its taro snacks, and forumers have given a thumbs-up to its BBQ mushrooms and taiyangbing (sun biscuits). Part of the Jiufen experience is to have tea and enjoy the view---there are different tea houses to choose from; you can read about one of them on this thread:
