If you have the number, and knows the person living there, why don%26#39;t you just call the number and ask the owner for the address instead?

Need help to locate an address!!!

Hi i have tried to call but nobody there. Im helping my relative (old lady) to find her relatives in taipei as they have lost touch. My relative would like to send something to them and visit them again if possible but she has lost their address. She could only remember that they stay somewhere near to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. I am wondering whether i can search online phonebook or thru their operator to get those info.

operator unlikely to disclose an address from phone number, but u could call n ask if that number has been changed which would explain why nobody picked up.In that case, they would give u the new number.

This happened sometime last year, some guy who was dumped by his girlfriend called the cell company and somehow got the operator to disclose the girl%26#39;s new address to him. He subsequently ambushed the girl at her place and killed her.

That is why opartors are nervous about discosing too much, for they could be held jointly liable for the crime.
