I%26#39;m planning to go to Hualien this friday morning (09 Jan). Is it necessary to pre-book a train ticket online?

I%26#39;ve checked the train website http://163.29.3.98/TWRail_en//index.aspx but %26#39;order ticket%26#39; page is all in Chinese.

Since this Jan. 10 (Sat.) happens to be a work %26amp; schoolday (to make up for the long New Year%26#39;s weekend), Jan. 9 will be just a regular weekday, so there should be seats available. But just for the sake of peace of mind, you may want to book; here is the booking website in English:

Internet booking is open between 6AM and 10PM; book your seat on Day A, pick up and pay on Day A or B and ride on Day C. (The pickup deadline has been shortened from 3 days to 2.)
