Not in Taipei but about 2 hrs. away, Toucheng Farm in Yilan was recommended to me by a friend who has been there:

Directions: Take a Tze-chiang train to Toucheng 頭城 and a taxi to Toucheng Farm 頭城農場 (about NT220).
hi.. i%26#39;ve checked out the site given by nutty and seems like most of the fruit farms are only available from dec to mar. how was ur trip and did u visit any of the fruit farms?
hi there....maybe what u can do is to call up tour agencies....cos seriously if u notice, almost all tour agencies in s%26#39;pore will offered a trip to fruit farms or those flower farms....maybe u can ask them what%26#39;s e name or e directions there...i remember that i went to a fruit farm in last may.....they have it at all seasons just that some r open at certain times some doesa not due to e diff fruits they grow.....the one that i went in may grow tomatoes and cherry......they r all not located in tazipei city itself but at taipei county itself....ard at least an hour to travel......but seriously, i will persuaded you not to go....cos there u have to pay money to pluck fruits....it%26#39;s usually just a small nusery with a very simple food stall/rest. there....
if u want something laidback or back to e rural life type, you might considered farm stays.....:)
oic.. thanks for the update.. the visit to the fruit farms is coz of my mum.. this is the 2nd family trip we%26#39;re having since eons ago and she wans to pluck fruit so hence.. i saw this article about fruit farms in taichung.. may consider to go there instead as it seems to have a bigger variety and can visit the feng chia night market after that... anyone knows whether is the feng chia night market a tourist trap? it seems to be on most travel itinerary of travel agencies...
Current Info on What%26#39;s Happening in some of the farms now:
