Wedding portraits & invitations in Taiwan

Does anyone have any recommendations for places to get wedding portraits and invitations done?

We want to do one of those packages where they take you around to different spots in Taiwan and shoot there.

Also, for invitations, we%26#39;d like different types of invitations (not the typical red ones).

We know of the whole street full of wedding shops, but we%26#39;d like to know some specific recommendations.

Any help/experiences would be appreciated!!!

Julia Wedding (very expensive)

Sophia

ChingHua

http://www.chinghua.com/

LinLi

http://www.linli.com.tw/

CH wedding

These are quite famous in Taipei, but all are very expensive in my opinion. (I do not know your budegt.)

You can see other peoplo%26#39;s wedding photo in the follow website

You should bargain the price or ask more gifts (e.g., more photos).

Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for all your help! I%26#39;ve looked at a few of these sites already...

We are planning to go back probably Sept/Oct of this year to take some shots. Do you know if they could do everything in two weeks%26#39; time? It%26#39;s so hard to plan/budget everything without being able to talk to them in person... and then speaking to the different salons and making our final decision will probably take a day of our precious time in Taiwan too :(

we had our done a few weeks ago, my fiancee and i are both very satisified, their web site is rivegauche.com.tw, also you can go to verywed.com to see comparisons and experiences from other couples.

you%26#39;ll definitely get your money worth compare to what you%26#39;ll get here in the states, not to mention they look great too. short stay, not an issue, we were there only for 2.5 weeks but it only took 1 week between the shots and final product, the hardest part is to carry that large portrait 24x30 on the plane.

Congratulations! May I know what was your package like? If I were to stay for a week, do you think they can get it done and we leave with the album? What dos and don%26#39;ts / advice for us? We are planning to fly over to Taipei in early October. I have delayed my wedding for quite some time due to work. Please assist.

One of the Admin in another forum where I post recently got his done: Some of his pics and details in this page. He spent USD2,500/-He%26#39;s a Taiwanese (in Singapore) He%26#39;s going to move it out soon .

The only ';don%26#39;t'; I can think of for the moment is their advice not to drink too much water the night prior to the photo shoot (or your face will look bloated), and to get a good night%26#39;s rest (cuz the eyes will show it).

Do you know if Royal Wed is a good studio? I%26#39;ve heard of some people who fly down from Singapore to go there, but my sister-in-law and her side of the family have gone to Julia/LinLi/Sophia.

Thanks!

There is an article in the May - June issue ';Travel in Taiwan'; on the top ten wedding photo spots around Taiwan and also the top ten wedding photo spots in Taiwan%26#39;s North-East Coast.

For those who are planning to have their wedding photographs taken in Taiwan and have not read it.

Here is the link:

The article is on pages 8 to 19.

I recently went to Taiwan in search of the same photo studio and stopped at LinLi Weddings (www.linli.com.tw). There I spoke to a woman named Melody. SHE WAS HORRIBLE! to say that I felt like she was trying to take us for a ride doesn%26#39;t even cover it. First, I went in with my husband who happens to be English (we got married a little bit back but hadn%26#39;t gotten our portraits done yet). As soon as the sales lady saw my husband, she started talking about an ';overseas package';. She didn%26#39;t even show us all the different packages that are available.

Basically a friend who lives in Taipei told me that she tried to charge us 2x what my friend was offered.

The sales person basically made us feel like because we were there for a short time and we stopped by their shop, that she could charge us whatever ridiculous price she wanted and we would just roll over.

In addition, even though she also refused to talk in English even though she had lived in England previously and spoke English fine.

Needless to say, we walked out and didn%26#39;t bother going back.

It really left a horrible feeling with us though. The experience was all the bad parts of what you hear about the wedding industry.
