7 days 6 nights Itinerary advice

Hi,

This is my initial plan for my taiwan trip. Would like advise on some matters.

1.Are there any recommendations for minsu in Alishan? How is Small Swiss or Xinxin minsu?

2.Is there any big difference between taking the bus tour in Hualien or booking the cab?

3.For my Sunday day schedule, I plan to book a cab, but will I need to follow the timing of the driver?

4.Last but not least. I am deciding between TS hotel, Neijiang Hotel and Rainbow hotel. I have stayed in Rainbow before, it was pretty good except for the toilet which gets stuck often. Is the condition of TS better than rainbow?

Thanks in advance for any help rendered.

7 days 6 nights Itinerary advice

1) small swiss is much more exp that xin xin if i not mistaken. And it is not inside the Alishan recreation area.

2) Hiring cab is definitely better option. You have the flexibility to decide which spot you want to stay for longer time.

3) If you book the cab for whole day, driver shall follow your plan although sometimes they will give u better suggestions.

4) If you can looking for budget hotel, you can consider Future Star as well. It is even closer to mrt than Rainbow but not so noisy. Rooms in 7th floor are new and clean.

If you r going to stay in XMD area, i suggest you explore XMD area first. Do not miss out Ah Zhong mian xian...it is my favourite!

7 days 6 nights Itinerary advice

Ding Tai Feng can be very crowded. It is better to call or book in advance. However, there are many nice foods nearby, you can try others as well. However, the 度小月in my opinon is overrated. All of my trip members feel so so only.

I strongly suggest you stay one or two days in Hualien. It was one of the great memories of my trip. I stayed there for 3.5 days. You can look out for 坐看云起民宿, it is very near to train station and the minsu is great. Delicous breakfast too. The male owner is the tour guide as well. You can take their package to explore different areas of hualien. The male owner is a funny guy too :p It only costed us 3K NTD per pax for 3 nite stays with free breakfast + one van for 10 ppl with tour guide for two days + renting the motorcycle for half a day. The owners provides transportation too. I strongly recommend this minsu!

Check out - http://leisure.hlbnb.tw/, i got their namecard and took photos with them as well :)

if you ever apply the free youth card, you only need to pay 25NTD for Yehliu park%26#39;s admission. I think you cover too many places in this day. I think you can skip Yehliu. You can start from Yingyang hai then all the way to jiufen. This can take you whole day alredi. Then evening time head to Keelung NM which is in my opinion one of the best NM in taipei. Really no point to go to two NM in one nite....more or less the same foods actually.

Personally, 4 best NM in taipei are:

1) Keelung

2) Raohe

3) Shilin

4) Shida

I dun find Lingjiang NM as good as 4 above. But if you got time, you can try too.

Danshui is on West side, Wufenpu is on East side...For tuesday you should focous on Beitou or Yangmingshan and Danshui area. Can check out Bali which is opposite Danshui as well.

Bali-%26gt;Danshui-%26gt;Beitour-%26gt;Shilin seems like a good alternative :)

If got time k go to Tianmu for shopping as well. I think things there quite suitable singaporeans :)

Actcally the reason why I was thinking of small swiss is because it provides quite a detailed itinerary for 2 days 1 night tour there. Is there any other minsu wirth recommending?

Just my personal opinion that you plan a very tight schedule, unless you are young enough, my suggestion is try to slow down your step and enjoy Taiwan, if possible forget about Taichung, try to stay one night at Hualien will be much better and enjoy. As for Chiayi Alisan-trip, you plan to take afternoon bus from Alisan and then back to Taipei, you still plan to visit ZhongxiaoDongLu, this is quite tough.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking maybe after coming back from Alishan in the afternoon, we could go to Zhong Xiao Dong Lu for a walk and dinner.

I heard that it is better to visit Jiufen during the weekdays. Why is that so?

Hi tcs80,

Was looking at your recommended minsu in Hualien as i have yet to book a room at Hualien and am looking for a nice one.

In your opionion, would their tour package of Taroko be better than the one provided by Taiwan Tourbus?

However i note that it does not include lunch.

But 1350*2 is quite a reasonable price.

Rgds,

Phan
