taipei Dansui MRT to yehliu

1) From Danshui %26gt; Yehliu (via Jinshan)

Board a Keelung bus (基隆客運) or Danshui bus (淡水客運) at Danshui bus station (at Danshui MRT Station) via north coastal road (Provincial Highway No. 2) to Yehliu (via Jinshan). Bus displays its destination “基隆” without a bus service number. Fare: NT$120 Travel time: About 1 hr. The first bus departs at 0600 hrs.

Yehliu Geological Park opens at 0800 hrs. http://www.ylgeopark.org.tw/

2) MRT train to either Beitou or Xinbeitou Station and transfer to bus S9 (minibus), 230 to Yang Ming Shan. Bus S9 brings you nearer to Zhuzhihu (white calla lily farms). Bus S9 frequency: 30~40 mins. Bus journey takes about 35 ~ 40 mins. The terminal stop for bus S9 is in Zhuzhihu, a short walk to the farms. Bus S9 operation hours: 0520 to 2200 hrs.

If you board YMS internal shuttle bus 108, you need to walk about 30 mins into the side road from the bus stop. But bus 108 brings you to the many attractions in YMS with 11 designated stops along the bus route. Purchase a NT$60 bus coupon at YMS bus terminal for unlimited rides for the day on bus 108. Bus 108 operation hours: 0700 to 1730 hrs.

4) The best time to visit Yang Ming Shan is spring where flowers including cherry blossom, azalea, Camellia etc blossom. Between January and May, different kinds of flowers are set to bloom at different intervals. Although the annual Flower Festival is over by April, the white calla lilies (December through May) cultivated at Yang Ming Shan are ready for harvesting by May. It is a good opportunity for flower lovers to visit the calla lily fields to take photos and pick flowers.
