I will be arriving at Taipei airport early afternoon on a Friday in April and I will need to travel down to Changhua to meet my son. Is the station accessible from the airport? If not, can you suggest how I can best find it please - by taxi I guess. If that is so, approx how much would I expect to pay for a taxi? How much would a one way rail ticket cost?
I%26#39;ve never been to the Far East before, so am sure I will be overawed by everything and would at least like to have a few practicalities sorted out!
Many thanks
Taipei airport to Changhua
1.THe economic way
a.Take a public bus, be it Free go, Kuo Kuang or any other bus companies to the Taipei Main Station (rail), U can find the boarding area for buses in one corner of the arrival hall, just follow the sign after clearing custom n u%26#39;ll find it.Fare is around 150 NT per person, I think (haven%26#39;t taken the buses for many years now, prices might have changed).
b.Take a normal train (Tzhi Chiang Hao) to Changhua.
2.The fast way
a.Take a cab from the airport to TPS/ domestic airport.
B.Take the bullet train or fly to Taichung then take a cab.
Taipei airport to Changhua
1.take the shuttle-Ubus to HSR Tauyang station
taoyuanairport.gov.tw/english/transportation…
2.take the HSR to the HSR Taichung station.
3.walk to TRA station from HSR Taichung station.
4.take TRA train to TRA Changhua station.
the Total cost will about 15~20 pounds with 2HR trip.
Here is your trip in chinese ,please print it out,
桃園機場--高鐵桃園站--高鐵台中站/台鐵新烏日站--台鐵彰化站
Oops, my mistake, yes, for bullet train, would be more feasible to board from Taoyuan station.
Thanks very much for your advice. I will print it all off and hopefully arrive in Changhua! It sounds relatively simple though.
Thanks again.
