lavender and sunflower farm

anyone have been to sunflower or lavender farm in taiwan, can share the place?

also if i visit these farm on early jan, will i get to see the plants there ?

The season for Sunflower (向日葵) is from early Summer to Autumn (May ~ Oct). Sunflower farms can be found in many areas in Taiwan. Sun %26amp; Green (向陽農場) is the biggest sunflower theme farm of Northern Taiwan.

Another notable sunflower farm is near Jiafu Temple (佳福寺) in Syuejia, Tainan County (台南縣學甲)

The season for lavender (薰衣草) is generally from early Summer to late Summer (May ~ July) depending on the variety. Best time to see it all in bloom is June. Similarly, lavender farms can be found in many areas in Taiwan including Ta-Shee Blooming Oasis, Tomita Farm, in Taoyuan County, Shin-She Summit Resort (新社莊園) in Taichung County, Cingjing Farm in Nantou County. Some rare varieties of lavenders flower in the winter.

Dear TaiwanDIy Big Bro,

I love lavender field and always wanted to have a farm stay.

I will be going during 2nd week to 3rd week of march (to see cherry blossom), would the lavender field be in blooming season also?

Also which lavender field have farmstay and also i saw in WuZhongXian 食字路口 that there is a field and a farmstay whereby the restaurant at the field served food (from appetizers salad to soup to main course (steak) to dessert) all has lavender there.

Do you have any recommendation?

I would like to bring my gf there and hopefully proposed... hehehe

There are a few places mentioned in the above website that have lavender farm, lavender theme restaurants and shop outlets – Shinshe (Taichung County), Jianshih (Hsinchu County), Mingteh (Miaoli County). Shop outlets can also be found at Cingjing (Nantou County) and Nanjhuang (Miaoli County). Could be one of these three restaurants that you saw in WuZhongXian 食字路口 program. There is a 2009 Lavender Festival being held at these theme restaurants. Check the website for the details and whether these places offer farm stay.

i am going to taipei on the 25th march to 2nd april. any lavender place i can go. i love lavender.

am heading to taipei next week with 2 young kids...

wld love farm stay but bot keen on animal smell.. the lavendar farm sound gd.. in bloom now?

any recommendations to kids? is there a zoo??
