If take keelung bus 286 to shui nan dong, do we have to walk far from the bus stop to visit the huangjin pubu? Similarly for the walk to old factory to view the ying yang sea, do we have to walk far from the bus stop? Also understand that the frequency of bus 286 is hourly from the klbus.com.tw. Is it really true? So if we miss the bus, do we really need to wait an hour for the next bus?

It is Keelung bus 826 (not 286). Huangjin pubu (Golden Falls) is within walking distance from the ';Golden Falls'; stop. The walk to old factory (Remains of the Thirteen Levels) is a walk uphill. According to the Keelung Bus website, Keelung bus 826 frequency is 30 mins (not one hour). Keelung bus plying “Rueifang – Jinguashih – Shui-nan-tong” route overlaps the route of Keelung bus 826.

2) For N/E coast, you k find Mickey Yang, he is famous in the forum or Joe Huang. The driver/tour guie that i hired is a local who stayed in that area. Price is NTD700 per pax for one day trip(std is 8 hours). Need to pay extra after that. I ended up with 13 hours. You can negotiate with him. I able to extend the 8 hours to 11 hour with extra charges.

3) The Hualien Minsu is great! The room is new and clean. The owners are nice person too. They provides tour pkg as well. You can consult the female owner regarding water rafting as well coz she used to work those company. The male owner will be the driver/tour guide. We even able to rent motobyte for one day. Btw, breakfast is included and the soya bean is home-made one...yummy :p
