There are Hello Kitty shops in several locations in Taipei, but I find that Sogo Zhongxiao (toy floor) has a sufficiently complete and up-to-date selection of Sanrio stuff.

There are wholesale Hello Kitty stores in the area of Hochezhan, but merchandise may be more of ';outlet'; quality and type.

Hochezhan is 1 block north of Taipei Station, the lanes and alleys betweent Civic Blvd. Elevated Expwy./Chongqing N. Rd./Changan W. Rd./Taiyuan St.

Just back from my taipei trip.

Was too very excited in bringing my wife to Hello Kitty Cafe on this trip. But we were kinda pissed when we reached there because please note that the stupid cafe imposes a minimum expenditure of NT300 PER pax during the afternoon tea time!

Kaoz! I mean...we%26#39;ve already had lunch and just wanna go and soak up the experience there. Me %26amp; my wife just wanted to share a dessert and a drink but we dun think we can choke up NT600 there lo... And I roughly see a normal piece of cake is ard NT180... what must we eat to choke up NT600 especially when we%26#39;re both still trying to digest the brunch we had earlier...and we%26#39;re still full!

Not to mention it%26#39;s the deco that brings ppl to this place not their FOOD! Com%26#39;on, Hello Kitty is not famous nor is there anything special abt the food they serve lo. Anyway...just took pics outside the cafe and left...

So a word of advice, if you wannt go IN to the cafe you might as well starve urself and head during proper meal hours and let go your appetite there.

many cafes have a min expenditure so ppl who want to spend their money there would be garuanteed a seat, though 300 bucks does seem a bit more than the norm. Kate,the food there is not superb, so be prepared for mediocre fare, just go for the novelty of it.Think it would be wise to reserve just in case, this one is popular with locals too.
